Lynx Dongle
My Lynx Dongle is not working.
- Make sure that your PIC is programmed with the proper firmware.
- If you have a PIC programmer, you can program it yourself with the latest firmware.
- If you do not have a programmer, find someone to help program your dongle PIC.
My Lynx Dongle is not getting detected by windows.
- Check all of your solder joints again.
- Do you have the FTDI Drivers installed?
- Try changing USB cables.
- There was one report of at least one bad FTDI USB module.
Vixen
Vixen is hanging when I run a sequence.
- Make sure that the DMX option is unchecked under "Add-ins"
I am getting "Access to the port 'COMx' is denied".
- Try changing the com port in windows.
- You will need to make matching changes in Vixen.
Lynx Express
Lynx Wireless
My Wireless Transmitter and/or Receiver is not working
- Check all of your solder joints again.
- Check that your parts have been soldered in the correct orientation
- Check that your PIC is properly seated in the socket and in the correct orientation.
- The first Lynx Wireless coop revealed a change in the Microchip PIC24FJ32GA002SP part. If your wireless is not working properly, you should reprogram your PIC with the latest firmware.
